Hey folks, sorry for not posting last night. Was tired. Anyway, Had a pretty good weekend in L.A. left Vegas late Thursday night and got in around 4 am on Friday morning and doggone it I was exhausted! Went out to Santa Monica later that day to the bluff also called Palisades Park. It has a great view of the beach and is a perfect spot for a person to walk their dog. Took some great photos while I was there, including one of a young female Western fence lizard. She was so small! Just a ballpark figure, I’d say she was about 1-2 weeks old and about the size of a quarter. I named her Shorty for a reason. Going off-topic for a moment, for those that don’t know, I sometimes give feral/wild animals names. For example, in my old neighborhood, there was a stray female Chow-Chow/ German Shepherd mix I called Red,’cause of her fur color, others include Tao, a Siamese kitten who was also a stray and then there was Honey. She got her name from her honey brown colored markings, she was a fox squirrel who I used to feed sunflower seeds to. Very friendly squirrel, even answered to her name! Studies have shown animals like to be called by name, now that I believe, why? with all my pets, past and present, anytime I call them by their name or nickname they look up. Enough of that. Getting back to my trip, it was nice.
Going out to the bluff was one of the highlights of my trip. I also got to see my brother and sister and enjoyed some great seafood on Saturday at a place called Neptune’s Net. The place was featured on the series, Rachael Ray $40-a-day. I’ll admit good seafood isn’t cheap but it’s worth it! Ate outside on the outdoor patio which has a great view of the beach. The drive to and from Malibu was pleasant, I also managed to snap a few photos.
Topped off the evening with a five-star surf and turf dinner, steak & lobster with corn on the cob and green beans. I couldn’t think of a happier ending to a nicer Saturday night.
Enjoyed some great donuts from the Farmer’s Market by The Grove prior to leaving on Sunday. The Farmer’s market has a diverse mix of produce and other goods. The people who work and shop here are just as diverse as the shops, food/produce kiosks. Great place to spend an afternoon, got a dog? well then, put Rover (or whatever your dog’s name is) on his or her leash and window-shop at Three dog bakery. The place has assortment of dog products and snacks.
Overall, it was nice. I really miss the city and look forward to moving back somewhere down the line.
Will post photos from my trip soon!
See ya on Wednesday!

Glad you had a nice visit. We love it here in L.A.
