Hi folks!

And it’s Monday again…

Not much going today, decided to spend some time watching a few Prince related TV specials.

Hoping that BET or TV One will do a documentary such as an episode of Unsung Hollywood.

But anyway, my hands have been tied for a while so if it looks like I haven’t updated here regularly, I promise that I’ll be doing some much needed maintenance on Pen & Paper including posting several drafts and photos that have been collecting dust.

But anyway…check back for updates…

See ya on Monday!

Everybody hates the Flu

Hi all, not much to say except… I’ve come down with the flu!

Yesterday my throat started bothering me now it’s been a full 24 hours and I’m sure I’ve got it.

Many times it takes a flu or cold virus 24-48 hours to circulate in the body by then the person may start to show symptoms.

Word of advice, if anyone is coughing, stay away from them!

I learned that this time around and will make a note of that during the height of cold/flu season which typically begins in October and ends in mid December.

Well, I’m pretty out sorts so this blog may be on hiatus until I’m well again… going to grab some soup and rest.

See ya on Monday… I hope

Back to school…

Hey folks, with summer vacation over for the U.S. and Europe comes students’ parents’ and some teachers least favorite part of the year… back to school.

Many stores this year had back school sales as early as July, which is the middle of summer vacation.

For many, such as myself, school was the last thing I wanted to think about during the summer.

Though, back to school does have its perks, many supplies I need such as notebooks and folders which I use for writing and keeping track of my files go on sale between August and early September.

This year, I got 2 notebooks and an 8 GB USB drive which I plan to use for saving writing samples and other important related materials.

Back-to-school sales are one of the best ways to get school/office supplies at lower prices. Sometimes even relatively cheap items such as pencils, scotch tape, glue, pens and even calculators can add up.

Backpacks and lunch boxes are another thing. I’ve been in Target during back to school sales and the aisle which has luggage and backpacks was picked over. Same goes for clothes in some cases.

However, there is another perk, clearance sales!

Many of the clothes in my own wardrobe were purchased during, you guessed it! summer clearance sales.

While fall means cooler temperatures, colorful leaves, geese migration and going back to school there’s plenty of exciting things to do this season. I’ll go into detail about what I’m most looking forward to this time around.

See ya on Friday!
